Soulful with jazzy insights on some Latin and funky beats coated with creative lyrics.

I have spent about one month writing, recording and mixing the songs on this album. Inspired by what was happening around me and in the world, I let my imagination guide me in terms of what style of music to use for each melody. Most of the time, it is the music that defines the theme of my songs. With a new idea each day, turned into a new song, more or less finalised, it had been tough to decide which tracks were to be selected to go on this album. Eventually, I found myself applying the rule of first recorded first chosen, with only two exceptions. The best options I found to satisfy my creativity was to produce two different albums. That said, the next one is already on its way for later this year.

I managed to get 5 friends to feature in 5 of the 16 tracks. Eddy White plays electric guitar on LIFE IS A GAMBLE; Harry Stoneham plays electric guitar on GIVE ME FREEDOM; Matt Jones plays tenor sax on LATIN JAZZ; Jonny Hamer plays tenor sax on FRANZ ET TRISTAN and Resco Chitulu took the rap lead on TIME TO LISTEN. Some people find their happiness in sports, others in drinking or smoking, others in gambling, others in helping their neighbours, etc… I find mine in my two sons Franz and Tristan, in my family and friends. But all this happiness would not be complete without music. Music has helped me go through a few downsides in my life. My life does not have to be what I don’t want it to be.
